I was beyond excited when I got the 1 out of 3 copies left of TOKYO! at the video store. Because I live one to many exits away from the local indie theatre, I usually wait until itunes or blockbuster has my 1 copy waiting for me.
This film in conclusion was stunning. The triptych takes three directors Gondry, Carax, Joon-ho && each recreate their interpretations of Tokyo and how they imagine it on a more abstract level. Out off all three, I would have to say Joon-Ho's story of a lonely Tokyo through the eyes of a hikikomori titled "Shaking Tokyo" fascinated me the most. Now I am off once again to check out the rest of Joon-ho's films.
